CIH Equipment Company, Inc. is an A2LA ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory that is ANSI Z540-1 compliant.

Our most recent audit concluded in August 2023 is valid through extended September 30, 2023 until the audit is finalized. Click here to view our Accreditation Letter and Certificate. The scope of the quality system encompasses all operations that affect the quality of our 17025 calibration service — equipment, personnel, calibration procedures and reporting.

All CIH laboratories are fully equipped to perform National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibrations. NIST is responsible for developing, maintaining and disseminating national standards for the basic measurement quantities, and for many derived measurement quantities. NIST is also responsible for assessing the measurement uncertainties associated with the values assigned to these measurement standards.

ANSI Z540-1 Compliance The American National Standard Institute provides a mechanism for promoting confidence in calibration laboratories and measuring and test equipment when it can be shown they are operated in compliance with its requirements. ANSI/NSCL Z540.1-1994 (R2002) Part I has been replaced by “ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories“ in July 2007.
