Accreditation

A2LA ISO/IEC 17025:2005

Our most recent audit concluded in August 2015 is valid through August 2017. Click Here to view our Accreditation Letter and Certificate. The scope of the quality system encompasses all operations that affect the quality of our 17025 calibration service — equipment, personnel, calibration procedures and reporting.

NIST Traceable

All CIH laboratories are fully equipped to perform National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibrations. NIST is responsible for developing, maintaining and disseminating national standards for the basic measurement quantities, and for many derived measurement quantities. NIST is also responsible for assessing the measurement uncertainties associated with the values assigned to these measurement standards.

ANSI Z540-1

ANSI Z540-1 Compliance The American National Standard Institute provides a mechanism for promoting confidence in calibration laboratories and measuring and test equipment when it can be shown that they are operated in compliance with its requirements. ANSI/NSCL Z540.1-1994 (R2002) Part I has been replaced by “ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories“ in July 2007.

ISO 9001

17025 Accreditation

An ISO 17025 calibration is a step up from a ISO 9001 or ANSI Z-540-1 calibration. A Certification to ISO 9001 does not demonstrate the competence of the laboratory to produce technically valid data and results, whereas certification to ISO 17025 does provide that evidence.
ISO 17025 accreditation assures that the CIH customers are getting precision, accuracy and repeatable test results. The CIH management team is committed to excellence by maintaining compliance to ISO/IEC 17025:2005's policies.
