It’s a hassle to send your health and safety test equipment out to multiple places and make sure each vendor is approved through your purchasing department. At CIH Equipment Company, we handle your equipment calibrations for you, either in-house, or at your request through our CIH Preferred Vendor Program for items we cannot calibrate. It is a complete asset management process designed to provide elite service to you. Since 1993, we have worked with multiple vendors and have vetted out the best. We want to be your preferred vendor. Experience the ease of letting us handle all of your health and safety test equipment calibrations.
So, if you have a piece health and safety test equipment that we do not calibrate (for example, radiation meters) but would like us to remain as your preferred vendor, we can handle the logistics for you with a $55.00 outsource fee per item (plus shipping and calibration price, with no markups). We will send just those pieces of your equipment we can’t calibrate out to the vendor or manufacturer on your behalf, and have the equipment shipped directly back to you. We never mark up their charge. Whatever they charge us, we charge you. We will pay the vendor/manufacturer so you only receive one invoice from us when all of the equipment is calibrated/repaired.
No longer do you have to figure out who to send your various equipment pieces to for calibration. You’re well taken care of with our pre-approved vendors which we have had long-standing relationships with. They are reputable, accredited (where applicable), and also offer fast turnaround time.
Order through the RMA Form or submit a Quote Request. There is a $55.00 cost per item to outsource it, with no price markups, plus the manufacturer/vendor’s calibration fee, the calibration sales tax, and shipping (to CIH, to the outsourced vendor, then back to you.)
Contact us to let us know what you’re sending in to verify we can outsource it for you. Plus, if we know about your order ahead of time, we will provide an estimated quote for your approval of any additional calibration fees and outsourced fees. Then we will contact the vendor/manufacturer on your behalf, set up the RMA(s), and ship those pieces directly to them.
If we receive your equipment that we can’t calibrate without prior notification, we will contact you and let you know it needs to be outsourced, provide you information on our CIH Preferred Vendor Program, and a quote will be listed on the Sales Order for you to approve or deny.
Then, upon your approval, we will notify you that it has been shipped to the vendor/manufacturer. Whenever we receive your equipment, and again when it is shipped, we photograph and sanitize the incoming equipment (see also What To Expect), and confirm what was delivered. We also inspect for any possible damage that may have occurred during shipping, and notate our findings on the Service/Sales Order.
We will follow up with the vendor/manufacturer based on their turnaround time and notify you by email of the expected completion date or any issues they might find. If repairs are needed, we’ll inform you of their costs, and you can let us know if you approve.
Once complete, we’ll send you the tracking number of your shipment, and your equipment will be sent directly to you (unless otherwise indicated). If you request your own shipping account to be used, otherwise we will prepay and bill either by FedEx or UPS (depending on the vendor).
Hooray! You’ll receive one invoice for all pieces of equipment on the Sales Order when your entire order is fully completed.
If you are set up in our Customer Portal, it will track each of your equipment due dates and you can pre-set your reminder notifications for your calibrations, whether it was calibrated through CIH or one of our preferred vendors/manufacturers, as long as you are part of our CIH Preferred Vendor Program.
