Instant pricing and ordering is also available in our RMA System. For details view the RMA Instructions for a step-by-step guide, and view the brief how-to video. Experience the ease of letting us handle all of your equipment calibrations with our CIH Preferred Vendor Program. Whether we calibrate it in-house, or if you have equipment that we do not calibrate but would like us to remain as your preferred vendor, we can handle the logistics for you with a $55.00 outsource fee per item (plus shipping), with no markups. If you are set up in our Customer Portal, it will track each of your equipment due dates and you can pre-set your reminder notifications for your calibrations, whether it was calibrated through CIH or one of our preferred vendors/manufacturers, as long as you are part of our CIH Preferred Vendor Program.
CIH also offers Equipment Repairs. Please contact us at 1-888-873-2443.
Federal purchasers can also find us at SAM.gov. Please search for us by C I H equipment (include the spaces between C I H), or search by our DUNS#927738047. We are a government approved vendor with a CAGE Code #5AE23. Our NAISC Codes are 811219 and 811310.
If you approve the Quote Request, the next step is to complete and submit a RMA. (NOTE: The Work Order Form is being phased out beginning July 1, 2021, and the RMA Form will be required.) Please select the level of service (Standard NIST Calibration, NIST with As Found Data, A2LA Accredited Calibration, Evaluation, and Warranty). If you complete the Work Order Form online, a copy will be emailed to you during normal business hours, or the next day, to include with your shipment.
Important: Please be sure to include a copy of your RMA Form with your shipment, otherwise services will be on hold until this is received.
If you have a rush order, please provide us with the tracking number ahead of time so we can watch for it. Also, add the word RUSH to the attention line on the shipping label. Please ship your equipment to us at:
Attn: Receiving Department
CIH Equipment Company, Inc.
1806 South Highland Avenue
Clearwater, FL 33756
CIH strongly recommends using the supplied protective case or double walled boxes for all shipments. Products shipped without a case are not subject to warranty claims. Shipping insurance is recommended but not required.
You may ship your equipment to us by FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, or freight, or personally drop off your equipment to us. View our Visit Us page for a local map and hours of operation. We are glad to see you!
The CIH Receiving Department receives all orders within one or two business days from the equipment being delivered to us, depending on the volume of orders received. Upon receipt of the equipment to our Receiving Department, we assign a Service/Sales Order Number and notify you we've received the equipment in good order.
An email is sent to the Ship To contact with the Service/Sales Order number which can be referred to for any correspondence regarding your equipment. Please open the attachment and confirm all is correct.
During the receiving process, we photograph and sanitize the incoming equipment (see also our COVID-19 notice), and confirm what was delivered. We also inspect for any possible damage that may have occurred during shipping, and notate our findings on the Service/Sales Order.
CIH Equipment Company provides calibration services with a typical turnaround time of 7-10 business days. For rush orders, we offer 24-hour, 48-hour, or 72-hour turnaround options (for additional fees), not including shipping. If you have a rush order, please provide us with the tracking number ahead of time so we can watch for it. Also, add the word RUSH to the attention line on the shipping label.
Our qualified staff of engineers and technicians provide expert calibrations and update you if any repairs are needed or issues found. All CIH laboratories are fully equipped to perform National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibrations. Learn more about NIST and our Accreditation.
Our Customer Service Department consistently provides frequent communication updates on the calibration status throughout the service process. Prior to performing the repairs or ordering any parts, an Approval Request is sent to you by our Customer Service Department for review to approve or deny. We then advise when the equipment has proceeded to our Quality Control phase, and sanitize the equipment prior to returning it to you.
Equipment sent in for calibration is returned with a formal Certificate of Calibration included in the return shipment along with a calibration sticker.
Our Shipping Department sends an email notification to you advising of the return shipment and providing a tracking number. As with receiving your equipment, we take pictures of the equipment before it is shipped back to show what is being returned and the condition.
CIH uses FedEx and UPS for our return shipping. Our default shipping carrier is FedEx. If you prefer to use your shipping account, please provide the information on the Work Order / RMA form.
We provide a 60-day warranty on calibration services from the time you receive your equipment back from us. Please open the shipment box, inspect the contents, retrieve your Calibration Certificate (if applicable), ensure your equipment arrived in good condition, and your Certificate of Calibration is correct.
Reminder that if you do not use your equipment for a while, over time, the battery will need recharging or replacing. Sensors have a limited shelf life of one to two years at most. The meter could be reading fine one day but not the next. For some equipment, you may need to remove the batteries to avoid damage to the unite while not in use.
Finally, there is a follow-up Customer Feedback Survey after the service is completed and invoiced where we welcome feedback for continuous improvement.
The Customer Service Department emails calibration reminders for the upcoming months. You can also track your calibration due dates in our new Customer Portal.
